Copyright Year Hints

Published in category Opinion
on Christian Mayer's Weblog.

I will never change the year of any copyright notice. This is too much effort. It costs too much engergy to change the year hint every year on every project I’m working on. I also don’t want to generate the year dynamically (for example with PHP) on webapplications. The year hint of my projects is the year of first publication. This is the reason why this weblog is still Copyright 2006 — even in 2016, because 2006 was the year I founded my homepage as a blog. (The posts of the years 2006 to 2008 are not online anymore.)

Update: On 2023-06-07 00:00 I removed all Copyright Year hints. Doesn’t matter.
