scriptogr.am to Tumblr script

Import all scriptogr.am posts to a Tumblr page. So you can post on scriptogr.am and on Tumblr without any extra effort.

The initial idea was to post with MouApp for Mac on Tumblr. The tumblr.com editor for new Texts, Quotes, Links, etc. doesn’t understand Markdown. But why not?

If you copy text from your browser there is always a HTML formating in the Tumblr editor. I don’t want to copy the text format. I want to format the text on my own.

So I decided to code this script. If you run ./create_link in your shell a new window of your default .md (Markdown) editor will be opened. In my case the default editor for Markdown files is Mou. After you edited the new file and close the editor it will be posted automatically to Tumblr.

Another big deal is that you don’t have to backup your Tumblr posts because the files are automatically stored in your Dropbox directory.

I just love Markdown.
